SUPPLYING PRECAST WALLING AND SECURITY FENCING FOR OVER 54 YEARS.
Conrite Walls was founded in 1967 as a limited precast walling company, servicing domestic homes, security and aesthetic needs.
In 1976 Mr. Don Speirs acquired the company after having worked as a sales representative at the company for some years.
He dedicated his time and efforts into expanding the company into the industrial market whilst still remaining loyal to his domestic clientele.
He soon discovered that the industry had carious requirements for different products and in the mid 1990’s he aligned Conrite Walls with the steel and metal work industry as well as the wire and fencing markets and the supply of concrete fencing posts to sub-contractors.
Conrite Walls continued to experience growth in the security market, realising its potential in completing high profile contracts with great success. Conrite then ventured down to Cape Town and spread its wings by completing the 16.5km palisade fence between the International Airport and the city. This gave the company serious credibility as a major player in its market.
Subsequently, Conrite added to their day-to-day products, successfully producing the solid precast wall designed for the ports, the car-bond store in Stanger Street and then later erecting the dividing palisade wall on the M4 south-bound freeway between the M4 and the railways next to the Sugar Terminal.
These large scale contracts allowed the company to grow to its present size and Conrite is effectively able to manage many sites at any given time due to the increased size of production capabilities.
After gaining all of this much needed experience in the concrete manufacturing industry, Conrite extended their product range to include kerbs, manhole rings, lids and covers.
